NIVEA Cup 2006

Since the year 2000 Nivea has supported the German Lifesaving Federation (DLRG) with the organisation of the NIVEA Cup in at the Baltic Sea in Warnemunde.

Since that time, this lifesaving competition has become one of the most important lifesaving events in Europe, in which numerous European national teams and local club teams participate. For the local club teams of the DLRG this three-day-long competition offers them the possibility to compete against international teams. The Nivea Cup also provides a kindergarden programme.

The dominance of the British men’s team brought the overall victory to the British team in the nations classification with 570 points, before the German team with 471 points and the Italians with 438 points.
