Cyprus Life Saving Association was established in 1993. According to its constitution, the Association is governed by an eight member central committee that is elected and represents the regional clubs of the free part of the island. The North part of the island is occupied by Turkish troops since the Turkish invasion in 1974. Cyprus Life Saving Association became a full member of ILS and it has close links with the Commonwealth countries.
