Malawi Life Saving Society

The Malawi Life Saving Society was founded in 1991 after an African Regional Conference of the Royal Life Saving Society - Commonwealth was held in Malawi. A number of courses have been run since then with the aim of introducing water safety skills and rescue techniques. These skills teach someone to rescue a person in difficulties in the water. There have been demonstrations of resuscitation to show how a seemingly dead casualty can be made to breathe again.
