World Conference on Drowning Prevention

The World Conference on Drowning Prevention is a global conference offered by the International Life Saving Federation. This conference (previously known as the WWS) follows on the resounding success of the World Congress on Drowning organised in 2002 in Amsterdam and the ILS International Medical and Rescue Conferences organised in 1997 in San Diego - USA and in 2001 on the Gold Coast - Australia.

    The 2011 World Conference on Drowning Prevention was held in Danang, Vietnam during May 2011. The Conference was hosted by the Royal Life Saving Society Australia with support from The Alliance for Safe Children.

  • World Conference on Drowning Prevention 2007
    The World Conference on Drowning Prevention 2007 (WWS2007) was held in Porto and Matosinhos, Portugal from 27 to 29 September.
