Open water safety is an important component in the strategies to reduce drowning.

Individual responsibility, safety measures by open water proprietors and formal legislation make open water safety difficult to capture and to communicate.

15 international experts will share their expertise. Apart from interactive lectures and panel discussions, there will be workshops and a role-play. The course is a unique opportunity for a wide variety of persons with responsibilities regarding open water safety, including lifesaving, open water proprietors and law enforcement agencies.

The full program of the course will be announced by mid-August 2026 after which registration is possible.
