Ghana Lifesaving and Diving Association

Ghana Lifesaving and Diving association (GHALDA) was formed in November 2010 under the leadership of Mr. Kwami Kpodoh, who was a Swimming Coach/Lifeguard trainer at Lincoln Community School, Abelemkpe, Accra.

GHALDA was establish to prevent drowning and aiming at improving water safety, drowning prevention, water rescue, lifesaving, lifeguarding and also promote and organize lifesaving sports.

GHALDA is non-political, non-religious, national association that leads the effort to reduce injury and death in, on, or around the water.

GHALDA was officially launch on 26th august, 2012 after its first general congress which elected new executive members for a period of seven (7) years.
