ILS Commissions Meetings

The ILS management is currently holding its meetings in sunny Sharm El-Sheikh (Egypt). The meetings of the Sports Commission, the Rescue and Education Commission and the Development Commission ended yesterday evening 18 February 2004 and were rated to be very fruitful. Besides the Commission Meetings, some 8 working groups meetings were organised and it is expected that the Board will have to vote on over 120 resolutions.

The Meetings in Sharm El-Sheikh are perfectly organised by the Egyptian Underwater sport and Lifesaving Federation (EULF). Delegates from 16 countries are present in Sharm El-Sheikh including: Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Kuwait, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and the United States.

The EULF has also organised a rescue demonstration in the different lifeguard and rescue stations in the Sharm El-Sheikh area and will host the official ILS dinner on the evening of 19 February 2004.
