  1. Prolonged exposure to the sun can be harmful
  2. Always wear a broad rimmed hat when outdoors

  5. If the skin is exposed to the sun, use a broad spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30+
  6. If swimming, regularly reapply sunscreen
  7. Wear sunglasses which protect from UV
