Individual membership may be granted to a person with an interest in aquatic lifesaving, drowning prevention or lifesaving sport.

If there is an ILS national Member Organisation in the nation, persons requesting Individual membership should be member of that national Lifesaving Organisation to be accepted as an Individual Member of ILS.

ILS has the following categories of Individual Members:
