Success for RLSSNZ in Australia

A squad of eleven young New Zealand lifesavers, representing RLSS-NZ competed at the 2005 Australian National Pool Lifesaving Championships with much success.

A total of eleven medals were won by the team, including three gold medals, five silver and three bronze medals.

The Under 19 relay team managed to collect a set of medals: bronze in the 200m Obstacle Relay; silver in the 4 x 50m Manikin Relay and a gold in the 4 x 50m Rescue Relay.

Gold medals were also won in the Under 19 100m Manikin Tow, and the Under 16 50m Manikin Carry.

Team management are very pleased with the athletes’ performances as RLSSNZ continues its preparation for the 2006 Commonwealth Lifesaving Championships.
