The competition will take place at the Sandy Hook Unit of Gateway National Recreation Area, a National Park Service field unit located in the metro New York City region. This tournament is the oldest and largest tournament of its kind in the United States of America exclusively for women lifeguards.

This is an “inter-club competition and is open to any woman working as a lifeguard, whether on a paid or volunteer basis, at an oceanfront, river, bay, lake, or pool.

The competition’s purpose is to showcase the high level of fitness and skill women bring to lifeguard work, and to encourage others to consider becoming lifeguards.
