John Barwick, the RLSS Honorary Commonwealth Treasurer and a Commonwealth Vice President, was honoured by Her Majesty in the 2008 Birthday Honours List with being made a Member of the Most Excellency Order of the British Empire.

Chief Justice Terence Higgins, the Immediate Past President of RLSS Australia and also a Commonwealth Vice President, was awarded the honour of Officer of the Order of Australia and Mrs Barbara Morgan of RLSS Australia’s Victoria Branch the Order of Australia Medal in the HM The Queen’s Birthday Australian Honours List.
