Lifesaving Society Canada’s Drowning Prevention Webinar

Lifesaving Society Canada is pleased to present a live webinar on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 12 pm Eastern Daylight Time, with Dr. Stephen Beerman, President of the International Life Saving Federation. During this 60-minute session, Dr. Beerman will share insights from the May 2011 ILS World Conference on Drowning Prevention in Vietnam. He will release new information on drowning prevention interventions and provide links to the Lifesaving Society Canada’s National Drowning Report 2011.

About Dr. Beerman

Dr. Beerman, BSc, BSR, MD, CCFP, FCFP has been a lifeguard, an instructor and competitor, a facility manager, a national program chairperson, an international lifesaving competition chair and the National President of the Lifesaving Society. Dr. Beerman is also a Royal Lifesaving Society ” Commonwealth Vice-President and Life Governor. Dr. Beerman has provided lifesaving leadership internationally since 1981. He has also contributed to the first World Drowning Report and 2008-2012 Strategic Planning process and co-chaired the Task Group to establish the new ILS Drowning Prevention Commission.
