60th Anniversary Hong Kong Life Saving Society

The Hong Kong Life Saving Society (HKLSS) celebrated her Diamond Jubilee after 60 years of glorious lifesaving operations in grand style on Sunday, 8th Nov night with a sit down dinner for over 500 lifesavers in a huge hall. There were many awards and acknowledgements. The ILS President Graham FORD, and Vice-Presidents Mohamed SALEH MD and DR. Detlev MOHR PhD were there to share HKLSS’s proud happiness.

The HKLSS, established in 1956, is a voluntary organization aimed at combating aquatic-related accidents. Being a full member of the International Life Saving (ILS) Federation, the Society has been active in promoting lifesaving movement in Hong Kong over the past 60 years, such as provision of lifesaving training and examinations, organization of water safety education to people as well as promotion of lifesaving sport, etc.
