The best attended World Conference on Drowning Prevention ends in Vancouver

With over 1,200 participants from 60 countries, the ILS World Conference on Drowning Prevention was the best attended ILS Conference ever.

The Organising Committee noted 805 registered delegates, over 150 exhibitors, over 75 volunteers and workforce and over 150 accompanying persons.

The conference, hosted by Lifesaving Society Canada in Vancouver (British Columbia) from 17th to 19th October was a huge success and certainly lived up to its overall theme of Share Globally, Prevent Locally.

We thank Lifesaving Society Canada for their excellent hospitality in Vancouver.

Now, the responsibility has been passed from Lifesaving Society Canada to Lifesaving South Africa who will host the next WCDP in Durban in October 2019.
