Today the President of the ILS, Graham Ford AM, and Secretary General, Dr Harald Vervaecke PhD, are pleased to confirm that there will be a World Conference on Drowning Prevention (WCDP) in 2023. With the generous support of the hosts Royal Life Saving Society Australia, and Surf Life Saving Australia, WCDP 2023 will be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Perth, Australia.
The confirmed dates for the conference are 4th to 7th December 2023.
However, the hosts are offering more than just a 3-day conference, extending the events from 2nd to 8th December.
It will be an event to remember with delegates invited to participate in a week-long experience that will include pre and post conference workshops, field trips, and masterclasses during the entire period from 2nd to 8th December. The ILS Board and Commission meetings will take place during this period.
The conference registration system will be launched in January 2023 together with details of available accommodation in the area. A call for abstract submissions will also be made at this time.
