Announcement of the first International German Ocean Lifesaving Championships

The German Life Saving Association (DLRG) has officially announced the launch of a major new international event: the 1st International German Ocean Lifesaving Championships (DOM 2026), set to take place from 16–18 July 2026 in Warnemünde, on Germany’s Baltic Sea coast.

Bringing together lifesaving athletes and teams from around the world, DOM 2026 will showcase high‑level competition in a true ocean environment. Warnemünde – well known for its wide beaches and surf conditions, will serve as an ideal venue for the inaugural edition of this championship.

The event marks an exciting expansion of Germany’s commitment to international lifesaving sport, offering competitors the chance to test their skills across a range of ocean-based disciplines in one of Europe’s most iconic coastal settings.
