Youth European Lifesaving Championships set to begin in Rome as teams finalize preparations across Europe

With just weeks to go, excitement is building across Europe as national squads complete their final preparations for the 2026 Youth European Lifesaving Championships, set to begin later this month.

From 27–29 July, Europe’s top emerging lifesavers will converge on Rome’s legendary Stadio del Nuoto, a venue celebrated for hosting several premier events including the 1994 and 2009 World Championships.

Ocean and beach racing will follow in Ireland from 3-6 September, rounding out a two‑stage championship that will test athletes across all lifesaving disciplines.
