ILS is pleased to announce that it has submitted its updated 2027 Anti-Doping Rules to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for approval.
These rules will replace the current 2021 ILS Anti-Doping Rules.
The ILS Anti-Doping Rules form part of a core set of documents that brings together its anti-doping policies, rules and regulations. Together these documents form the Anti-Doping Code. When approved the new Rules will then be published on the ILS website.
To assist athletes and all involved in sport better understand the updated Code, WADA has produced an eLearning course to explain:
Why changes to anti-doping rules were made;
- To advise the key changes and to detail why the changes are important;
- How the new Anti-Doping Rules will impact athletes; and
- To assist athletes with their understanding of the Anti-Doping Code.
- The eLearning covers topics including:
- The 2027 Code and the International Standards;
- Education;
- Therapeutic Use Exemptions:
- Testing and results management;
- Data protection; and
- Investigations,
The course is called the 2027 Code companion for athletes and is available in English and French (with more languages to come) on the WADA Anti-Doping Education and Learning platform (ADEL).
The ultimate goal of the eLearning is to proactively help athletes, coaches, managers and medical staff make informed decisions, understand their rights and responsibilities, and compete clean.
