Pool lifesaving has been confirmed as one of the 36 sports that will feature at The World Games 2029 in Karlsruhe, German.
The International World Games Association (IWGA) announced the full Sports Programme for the Games, detailing every sport and discipline set to be contested from 19 -29 July 2029.
This confirmation builds on the initial Sports Programme revealed following the IWGA Annual General Meeting (AGM) in April and marks a major milestone for athletes, coaches, and National Lifesaving Federations worldwide.
Around 4,000 athletes from more than 100 countries, representing 36 sports and 62 disciplines, are expected to compete across a diverse schedule that showcases the very best of The World Games movement.
The confirmed programme reflects the IWGA’s commitment to sporting excellence, global relevance, and a balanced, exciting competition environment with lifesaving sport once again taking its place among the world’s elite non‑Olympic sports.
