Global expertise for drowning prevention

The World Conference on Drowning Prevention brings together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, lifesaving organisations and partners to exchange evidence, experience and practical approaches to drowning prevention, rescue and water safety.

WCDP2027 will take place in Rome, Italy, from 25 to 28 November 2027. Its programme will be developed around nine thematic areas spanning sport lifesaving, technology, lifeguarding, inclusion, clinical care, education, data and climate resilience.
