2018 New Zealand Pool Rescue Championships

12th October 2018 - 14th October 2018

The SLSNZ 2018 Rescue Pool Championships are scheduled to take place at the Sir Owen Glenn National Aquaitic Centre from Friday 12  – Sunday 14 October 2018.

This year’s event is particularly important as it provides a crucial lead into the 2018 Lifesaving World Championships, which are to be held in Adelaide in Nov/Dec 2018. Consequently we expect to see stiff competition from the New Zealand Black Fins and other top New Zealand club competitors, as well as teams from Australia, as they continue their build up to the Life Saving World Championships and the World SLS Club Championships.

However, this event also serves as an important development event for our life guards and aspiring lifeguards, as they continue to develop important lifesaving skills for the season ahead. If you have not already considered participating in this unique and iconic event, it’s not too late to start training. Just contact your local club coach or regional sport manager for guidance.

We are expecting up to 700 athletes to compete at this year’s Pool Rescue Championships, so don’t delay, get your registrations in as soon as possible. Registrations open on Tuesday 3 July 2018.
