LWC 2022 Competition Dates now confirmed

The Lifesaving World Championships 2022 will now take place in Riccione, Italy in from 21st September to 2nd October 2022, though with a reduced programme following the decision announced on 3rd November 2021 to cancel all of the Interclub, IRB and Surfboat events due to the Covid-19 restrictions. Only the National Teams Open and Youth and Masters Championships can be held.

These championships were originally due to take place in Riccione in September/October 2020, but were postponed in March 2020 due to the global disruption caused by the Coronavirus Covid-19 Pandemic*.

The registration process for these Championships is open for normal entries until 7th August 2022, and for late entries from 8th to 24th August 2022

Further information, including confirmation of the event dates for each part of the LWC 2022 Championships can be found here:

(*Note: Because of the need to postpone LWC 2020 for two years, the Moroccan Federation graciously agreed to move the LWC 2022 event awarded to Agadir, Morocco to 2026).

    Hi John,
What day are the Master beach flags?
I couldn’t see them with beach sprint and relay?

    • Hi Helen – Sorry that the Masters Beach Flags was missed off the list. I can confirm it will be on the same day as the other Masters Beach Events, 28 September 2022. We will correct the document on the website
