Austrian Water Rescue Federation

The Austrian Water Rescue Federation was founded on the 16th March 1957 in Linz at the Donau.

The ÖWR is handling swimming, lifesaving and scuba diving education.

It became member of FIS in 1958 and member of WLS in 1974.
