The Icelandic Red Cross was founded on December 10th in 1924. The organisation is a leading force in healthcare, social care and humanitarian aid in Iceland. The Icelandic Red Cross is also an auxiliary to the Icelandic government, f.ex. in the field of disaster and emergency services and refugee services.
