The INDIAN LIFESAVING & LIFESAVING SPORTS ASSOCIATION formed in 2016 was primarily developed for swimming sport and lifesaving trainings to the people for performing in aquatics and attain employability is aquatic sector before its formation. Over the period the working group could see the big gap and need for its development in rural and youth segment and through the formation of its association achieved a larger coverage with its services in capacity building and training in southern India.
The association collaborated with like-minded working groups in other parts of India and now has 7 different state bodies working on ground. The aim is to reach and collaborate with 29 States and 7 Union territories for the associations focus activities primarily in survival swimming, lifeguard training and lifesaving sports development. The association will be putting efforts to create sustainable projects and member branches having capacity to develop rescue equipment, training equipment’s and long-term funders through its planned business commission.
Since its formation, the association has achieved support and technical knowledge through various educational engagements. It also has achieved the full membership for IFSTA soon to be announced.
