At the Board of Directors meeting held in Egypt in February 2004 the YMCA of Venezuela was accepted as an Associate member of ILS.
The Venezuelan Federation was founded in 1946.
This is a Venezuelan organization with an open Christian perspective at the service of the communities through voluntary assistance and private investments.
The federation supports the different locations of YMCA in Venezuela, gets in contact with these cities and helps in the development of each individual and his family members, that gather around the Christian principals. The main goal is to promote the values and philosophy of YMCA through educational programmes, activities and events. Recreational, cultural and academic programs are part of the objective as well as sports.
YMCA has facilities in the main cities of Venezuela, such as Carabobo, Zulia, Aragua, Barquisimeto, Anzoátegui, Falcon. Its headquarters are in Caracas.
The Federation Became Full Member on 19/07/2008.
