Call to Bid for the Rights to Host the 2028 (and/or 2030) Lifesaving World Championships

The ILS Board of Directors is seeking bids to host the 2028 (and/or 2030) Lifesaving World Championships (abbreviated “LWC 2028”).

The Lifesaving World Championship is the most important competitive event of the International Lifesaving Federation. It must satisfy many requirements, most significantly the needs of the ILS Members and the goals of ILS.

Bidding organisations must be:

  • A National Lifesaving Federation that is a Full Member Organisation of ILS, or
  • A Host City/Group/Agency/Organisation, preferably in co-operation with an ILS Full Member Organisation.

Please note that 15 June 2023 is the deadline to submit a Bid Lodgement.
