This year will mark year 25 of the annual National Park Service All-Women Lifeguard Tournament.
It is set to take place at the Sandy Hook (N.J.) Unit of Gateway National Recreation Area on Wednesday, 29 July.

This NPS workforce-diversity initiative has attracted as many as 233 women from the U.S., Belgium, Canada, and Germany.

It costs nothing to take part in this “inter-club” competition.

It is open to any woman working as a lifeguard on a paid or unpaid basis for the organization she represents, whether at an oceanfront, bay, lake, river, or pool.
