Voluntary Water Rescue Service
WOPR was established in 1962 as Poland’s national volunteer water rescue organisation, building on a history of organised lifesaving in Poland dating back to the nineteenth century. It became a member of FIS in 1970.
WOPR operates throughout Poland through 16 provincial bodies and an extensive network of local and regional units.
