Sudanese Sea Scouts
The Sudanese Sea Scouts was established in 1969.
In addition to the different scouting activities, SSS has been practicing a variety of sea activities. Activities include swimming, rowing, canoeing, sailing, water-skiing. As a part of its social responsibility, SSS has played a major role in drowning prevention and lifesaving.
In cooperation with relevant organizations, SSS holds periodic efficient activities in the aspects of drowning prevention and lifesaving.
SSS volunteers has been working on beaches along with the Civil Defence, to provide safe beaches for swimmers.
In addition, SSS has held many camps to train youth from different cities around the country on drowning prevention and lifesaving with help of the British Council and the Royal College in London.
