The International Life Saving Federation (ILS) has launched an official Instagram account to further its promotion of global cooperation on water safety, research and lifesaving sport.

Through Instagram, ILS will bring lifesaving awareness to an even broader audience, making to easier for people to engage, collaborate and share.

As well as promoting lifesaving programs that are making a difference, ilsf_org will shine a spotlight on the individuals and groups in lifesaving who go above and beyond, successful rescues, groundbreaking initiatives in water safety and more.  

A new social media feature called Program of the Month will highlight water safety and drowning prevention programs that are invoking positive change and having real and measurable impacts on local communities.

In the first program feature, Sri Lanka Life Saving outlined program outcomes related to its swim for safety initiative.
