Appointment of Technical Officials for the Lifesaving World Championships Adelaide 2018

The ILS Sport Commission is very pleased to announce the appointment of all Technical Officials for the ILS Lifesaving World Championships Adelaide 2018 (LWC2018).

The detailed lists can be viewed on the ILS LWC page: https://www.ilsf.org/lifesaving-sport/lwc/2018

With 350 applications it was a big challenge for the Commission, working closely with the Chief Referees, to fit as many of those who applied into their preferred positions. With many applicants wanting to officiate in all events, some of which run concurrently, and many wanting the same position, it was inevitable that not all who applied could be appointed to their position of choice, but as far as possible the Commission has met most preferences. The lists are “provisional” at this stage, as experience shows there will be some withdrawals and positions may change.

All appointed Technical Officials will be asked to confirm their acceptance of their appointment by 16th July 2018, and register their intention to attend the Lifesaving World Championships 2018 through a Technical Officials Registration System that will be opened in mid-January 2018. A further communication will be issued, including a guide on how to complete a registration, when this system becomes available in the next month. Registration on this system will be essential to ensure that the Local Organising Committee can provide appropriate accreditation tags for all appointed technical officials to allow access to the competition venues, transport, debrief area and the relevant social functions.

The ILS Sport Commission wishes to thank all who applied and congratulate all those appointed.
