Resignations

Dr. Heather McGowan PhD (Australia – Royal) had resigned as Chair of the Development Commission and Dr. Peter Wernicki MD (USA) recently resigned as Chair of the Medical Commission of ILS.

The lifesaving family would like to thank both Heather and Peter for their outstanding work as the Chair of the Development and Medical Commission respectively. Their dedication is very much appreciated.

Peter informed ILS that he would be able to reserve some of his time for lifesaving and ILS by remaining a commission member.

Appointments

The following persons are appointed in the following functions:

• Terrence Higgings (Australia – Royal): acting Chair of the ILS Development Commission.
• Dr. Peter Fenner, MD (Australia – Surf): acting Chair of the ILS Medical Commission.

Elections

The Board of Directors elected the following persons:

• For the Sports Commission: Frans Kenis from Belgium.
• For the Rescue and Education Commission: Danny Bryant from Great Britain – Surf.

ILS wishes the appointed and elected persons all the possible success in their endeavours.
