During the 2019 SportAccord meetings being held on the Goldcoast, Australia, the ILS and the Conseil International du Sport Miltaire (CISM) signed a Convention of Collaboration.

Lifesaving Sport has always been included in the World Military Games organised by CISM and the signing of this Convention enables the ILS and CISM to continue to work closely together to support the work to promote and highlight drowning prevention through the conduct of lifesaving sport.  

Both organisations look forward to continuing this important collaboration.

The Convention document was signed between the ILS President, Graham Ford AM, and CISM President Colonel Piccirillo Hervé.
