Lifesaving Sport in the 2021 World Masters Games in Kansai, Japan

After the success of the 2017 World Masters Games in Auckland, New Zealand, the ILS is very pleased to confirm that Lifesaving Sport has been included in the 2021 World Masters Games to be held in Kansai, Japan from 14th to 30th May 2021.

The Lifesaving events will be held at Wakasa Wada beach, in the town of Takahama, from 22nd to 23rd May 2021 (confirmed amended dates).  All Masters Competitors from all ILS Member Federations are encouraged to participate, in what is a very important global multi-sport event.

The following video will give a great impression of the beautiful beach that will be the venue for the 2021 World Masters Games lifesaving events.

Can anyone tell me the cut off dates for this age group. Is 30 years old, ‘on the day’, or is there an ISL cut off date. In NZ it is, age as at 31st September.
